Connecticut State Government Work Update: Early Childhood Education

The final Blue Ribbon Panel on Child Care report can be found HERE. The five-year strategic plan included in this report aims to stabilize, strengthen and expand Connecticut’s early childhood system.

Social Impact Partners has been honored to support the Blue Ribbon Panel and the Office of Early Childhood (OEC) in developing this plan. Social Impact Partners, with the leadership of staff Jennifer Gerber and Dr. Monisha Gibson, played a wide range of roles, including project planning and management; financial modeling and analysis; and consulting support for two of the workgroups. We were particularly proud to support the extensive stakeholder engagement and outreach effort, led by Dr. Gibson–involving nearly 3,000 people and over 300 meetings–that made the final plan stronger and more reflective of the needs of constituents across the state.

Thank you to our Social Impact Partners staff and volunteer partners for such impactful, collaborative work – Janice Semper, Rob Wechsler, Paige MacLean, Dr. Monisha Gibson, Jen Gerber, Michael Van Leesten, Nebiyu Daniel and Mark Argosh.

We look forward to continuing to support the OEC in implementing this forward-looking plan to develop a high-quality, equitable and sustainable Early Childhood Education ECE system that works for Connecticut’s families, providers, and communities.
