Her work has been featured in the documentary Great Expectations: Raising Educational Achievement by the Connecticut Council for Education Reform and highlighted in publications including the Hartford Courant, New Haven Independent, and Education Week. Her honors include 100 Women of Color (2018), three citations from the Connecticut General Assembly, and multiple community service awards. A lifelong learner, she holds degrees from Springfield College and Virginia Commonwealth University, a CAGS from Westfield State University, and recently completed the Executive Leadership–Superintendent Program at University of Connecticut.
